Julie Gorman
Director of Community College Affairs

Information: Director Julie Gorman started her college career at Corning Community College, serving as a Club Representative, Senator, Speaker of the Senate, and finally a full voting member of the Regional Board of Trustees while working toward her A.S. degrees in General Studies and Humanities and Social Sciences. She also was a member of more than 15 college-wide committees during her tenure, participating in everything from the Academic Standards Committee to the Recruitment and Marketing Committee to the Athletic Board. Julie has traveled the country while advocating for community colleges and even spent some time as a lobbyist for the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act and the American Graduation Initiative in and out of Washigton D.C. While beginning her Junior year of college at SUNY Cortland as a major in Social Philosophy with a minor in Pre-Law, Julie plans to dedicate her time outside of class to making the college experience of her fellow SUNY students, especially community college students, as wonderful as hers has been thus far.
